International conference on exploring the frontiers of political ecology

SAVE THE DATE – October 11, 2016
Lausanne, Switzerland

Join us for a day to explore the frontiers of political ecology.

During this full-day colloquium, researchers, PhD students and practitioners will have the opportunity to discuss the field of political ecology through two public lectures and two workshops.

The focus will be on how political ecology is appropriated, used, and reworked across disciplines and research traditions, and to assess whether bridging political ecology with other disciplines might be the way in which political ecology can continue to enrich its future contributions to understanding pressing issues of environmental sustainability and social justice.

Organised by the Development, Societies, Environments research group at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability (IGD), University of Lausanne.

Sponsored by the Institute of Geography and Sustainability of the University of Lausanne and co-sponsored by the Doctoral School in Geography of the Conference of Universities of Western Switzerland (CUSO).

We hope you will join us. Please save the date.
